Dear Community members,

join us for our next virtual Meetup on October 12th, 2021 starting at 5pm via Zoom.

We are looking forward to having Bas Bergevoet, Systemarchitect at Philips Research, and Patrick Bonné, Software and Test Architect at Philips, as our speakers.

Our speakers work for the healthcare industry and are addressing the challenge of

Configurable clinical pathways/protocols

by defining and prototyping a generic software solution that supports execution of workflows based on BPMN, DMN and CMMN.

That software solution will be based on best practices in Philips, but also on practices from other software community (e.g. off-the-shelf solutions, either open source or commercial, efforts from standardization bodies like OMG group or HL7, academia, etc.). Ultimately, this workflow solution will be integrated in Philips solutions to increase patient outcome by supporting and guiding medical personnel through the protocols.

They will demonstrate a research prototype that exercises the principles, and share some of the key findings, challenges and opportunities. E.g.: What standards are best suitable? How to cross the OMG and HL7 domains? What workflow engines (e.g. Camunda) can support us best? Can we establish a collaboration in an open source community?

There will be lots of time for open discussions and we encourage you to bring own questions. We hope to see you there!

Agenda:
04.50pm – Welcome (feel free to BYOB)
05.00pm – Introduction and Icebreaker
05.10pm – Configurable clinical pathways/protocols (Bas Bergevoet and Patrick Bonné, Philips Research, EInhoven, The Netherlands)
